Agrimony is a small delicate herb which has been traditionally taken to cleanse the liver and help with bowel problems. Use as a tea. See more information  [+] Agrimony is a small delicate plant which may be easily overlooked in grassland, on the borders of woods, on banks and near the sides of hedges. Culpeper put this herb under Jupiter and suggested that it was good for gout, helping to cleanse the liver and heal inward wounds and bruises. He also suggested applying externally to sores. It has astringent properties helping to reduce diarrhoea in children, aid in colitis, incontinence and cystitis.

See more information  [+] Cornsilk is soothing and demulcent for the urinary tract, whilst Buchu has been traditionally used to help the body fight urinary tract infections. 5-6 cups of this tea a day has been drunk to help with urinary tract difficulties. Buchu leaves smell like blackcurrent and the tea is pleasant to drink hot or cold.

Dandelion leaf (Taraxacum officinalis). Drink when you feel a bit bloated with fluid retention. Dandelion has a reputation as a major diuretic which is probably why it is called 'Piss-en-lit' in France. See more information  [+] Dandelion. Taraxacum officinalis. A perennial plant which grows everywhere, especially in lawns. Both the leaf and the root is used medicinally, but the flower is only useful for providing nectar for overwintering hoverflies early in the spring. Dandelion leaves may be eaten in salad or sandwiches. The leaves may be blanched in a similar way to chicory. The root may be made into a coffee substitute.
